Young Horse Champions Crowned

The final day of the Young Jumping Horse Competition at PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars delivered outstanding performances from Australia’s rising Jumping stars. Across the four age categories, combinations demonstrated incredible talent, precision, and future potential in the third round of competition and made a big impression on young horse judges Chris Burton, Julia Hargreaves and Chris Chugg.
Tanner Robinson and MT Robinsons Qognito (Yalambis Incognito x Quidam de Revel) took top honours in the Southern Cross Event Hire 4-year-old category, earning an impressive 95.57 points. The competition was tight, with Anneliese Wansey and Kolora Stud Classified (Eurostar I x Caracas) close behind on 95.33. Samantha Dernee rode Uptown Van De Molenberg (Dominator Z x Balou De Rouet) to third place with 94.20.
Over the three rounds of competition it was Tanner Robinson and MT Robinsons Qognito who were declared 4 year old Champions.

Clara Palm and Tulara Checkola (Checktet x Colman) clinched the win in the Tulara Warmbloods 5-year-old class on 94.20. David Lever and Nicolai (Wirragulla Nicolaus x Verdi TN) followed closely, scoring 93.90, while Anneliese Wansey and Glenara Baccarat (Casall x Conquistador) took third on 93.57.

The Bellhaven Horse Stud 6-year-old class saw a dominant performance by Jack Barker aboard Tulara Karash (Karajan x For Fashion), scoring 96.83 to take the win. Kate Hinschen and Bellhaven Catoo (Chacoon Blue x Plot Blue) finished second on 92.03, while Jessica Kent guided Canunda Erupt (Eagle Rock x Conquistador) to third place with 89.33.
Tulara Karash and Jack Barker were declared 6 year old Champions and also won the prize for the best performed Tulara bred horse of the show, kindly donated by Tulara Warmbloods.

The 7-year-old class sponsored by Yandoo Equestrian provided a thrilling conclusion to the competition, with two combinations tied after the first two rounds, it was Rachael Lee and Neil Diamond VBT (I’m Special De Muze x Berlin) who secured victory on 98.43 from Brooke Campbell and Benjamin Franklin BE (Tulara Colmine x Caracas) with 97.43, while Russell Hearn rode RBH Tulara Casman (Tulara Casciado x Colman) into third place with 95.03.
Following this class, Rachael Lee and Neil Diamond VBT were declared 7-year-old champions.
